Mythbusters Adam Savage: I Got Past TSA With Razor Blades

Adam Savage, the guy from Mythbusters, got past TSA with razor blades.  Not just any razor blades.. Long razor blades used to cut foam blocks.

Apparently he had the razor blades, along with nuts and bolts and other metal objects, in his carry on bag.  His bag went through the scanner and they didn't say anything!  Go TSA!

I should also mention that he didn't know the razor blades were in his bag.  He wasn't trying to cause trouble or anything.  Watch the video below.

TSA Shennanigans

I'm fed up with the TSA.  I refuse to have my balls cupped just to go through the airport.  I know I'm not the only one that is completely fed up with this!  I will be voting with my wallet by not flying for a long time.  Driving may take a little bit more time, but I'll save money and not have my rights violated.

I keep coming across different stories about the TSA.  From some guy pissing his pants during a pat down, to another girl having to cut off her nipple rings off with pliers. I often hear the TSA referred to as a "security theater".  You know what?  That's exactly what it is.  Just a theater.  It's all an act to prevent terrorists from even attempting something.

All the TSA accomplishes is wasting tax dollars and violating rights.  Oh, and taking away weapons... like nail clippers and bottles of water.

Genetically Engineered Mosquitoes Are Released Into The Wild

Check out this article from popsci.com.  They have successfully released genetically modified mosquitoes onto an island.  The mosquitoes they released have lowered the populations by as much as 80%.  They say it's safe, since the mosquitoes they release are sterile and can't reproduce.

"An Oxford-based research firm has announced the results of a release of genetically modified male mosquitoes in the Cayman Islands, the first experiment with GM mosquitoes to take place in the wild.

From May to October of this year, Oxitec released male mosquitoes three times a week in a 40-acre area. The mosquitoes had been genetically modified to be sterile, so that when they mated with the indigenous female mosquitoes there would be no offspring, and the population would shrink.

Mosquito numbers in the region had dropped 80 percent by August, which the researchers expect would result in fewer dengue cases."

Quad Tomahawk Kill in COD Black Ops

This is a wild video of a guy that gets a quad-kill in Call of Duty: Black Ops with the tomahawk weapon.  He throws the tomahawk in the air towards the other side of the map.  The tomahawk hits an RC car, which causes it to blow up.  The resulting explosion killed 4 players on the other team!  Talk about extreme luck.

For those of you who haven't checked out COD Black Ops, I highly recommend it.  I know, I know... Not everyone likes Call of Duty and that's alright, because plenty of people enjoy it.

The newest iteration in the COD series is a fine improvement over past versions of the game.  It stays true to the Call of Duty feel, but there are newer and refined gameplay elements that make the game more enjoyable.

The weapons and maps are very balanced.  The new weapon purchasing system is nice and the kill-streak perks are sweet as usual.  Overall, I give Call of Duty: Black Ops a 8.5 / 10.  There are a few things that bother me, but no game is perfect.

What do you all think of COD Black ops?

Dr. Dre Single - Kush

Check out this new single by Dr. Dre called Kush.

Kush has quickly become popular; I hope this is a sign of things to come from Dre.  You can find it at Dr. Dre's website.

Assassins Creed Brotherhood

I picked up Assassins Creed Brotherhood the other day and I have been playing the shit out of it all week. If you are a fan of the Assassins Creed games, then this one is definitely worth picking up.

There are many improvements in this game over the previous ones in the series. The combat is faster and more refined. The graphics are still great and the sound is top-notch.

The game play is fantastic and the story line is really deep. I've put in about 15 hours so far and I'm only about half way through the story line. There is a lot of stuff to do in this game!

If you are looking for a new game to pick up, I'd recommend getting this game.

Ghost Rider - Uppsala Run

Check out this video of the Ghost Rider.  He films himself driving different vehicles; motorcycles, cars... a Subaru STI comes to mind... He's gotten away from cop cars, bikers, and helicopters.  This guy is a legend.

Interactive Puppet with Xbox Kinnect

Interactive Puppet Prototype with Xbox Kinect from Theo Watson on Vimeo.

This video is really cool.  It's an interactive puppet prototype using the Xbox Kinect.  I think the potential is there for the Kinect to be really cool.

I'd like to see a Kinect game that scans in the player and whatever they're holding.  So if you were to put down your kinect-gun and hit a bong, your in-game character would be hitting a bong too.  I'd laugh my ass off.

I have my reasons for not liking deep water

There are some places in the world that man was never meant to go.
